hows does 6-3(y+3) = -3-3y?
not cheating, using mathxl. fantastic but it dosent show method
set one side equal to zero.
6-3(y+3)=0
subtract 6 from both sides and then multiply both sides by a negative 1
3(y+3)=6
distribute the 3
3y+9=6
subtract 9 from both sides
3y=-3
subtract 3y from both sides
0=-3-3y
if 6-3(y+3)=0 and -3-3y=0 then 6-3(y+3)=-3-3y
