Why is JFK used as a standard for the Presidency? Obama sure mentions him a lot too.?
What did JFK do to earn that kind of reverence? He got hundreds of people killed, Cuban and American by pulling air support at the last minute in the Bay of Pigs, he was a womanizer, got us involved in Viet Nam, started the Peace Corps (good thing too, or people in Africa could be starving) he did have us on the brink of nuclear war for a week, but then again Ronald Reagan bankrupt the Soviets on a poker bluff called Star Wars. I don’t appreciate a president being assinated but the Secret Service begged him not to use a convertible, shows little regard for his wife and all those around him.
